I’m in a thoroughly crappy mood. I’m not sure if it’s the fact the BOTH kids have decided that “any time after mid-night is officially morning so let’s party” or the fact that it’s still well over a month until christmas or the weather is crappy or there’s no money in either checking account or (my sincere hope) I’m simply PMSing but I am feeling simply Blerg with a Twist of Unnecessary Rage.

My cheesy fiesta potatoes from Taco Bell helped a little but then I was mad again because I wanted another one.

Here’s an idea! Instead of me whining to you guys, I’ll simply post this evil sounding recipe from Jessie’s mom:

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

Now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

You’re welcome.

  1. not that i am complaining but why are the “Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes” that have cheese and sour cream cost more than the regular “Fiesta potatoes”….i mean hasn’t the price of dairy items gone up everywhere and yet loco Taco bell keeps this delicious secret?….crap the Taco Bell big brother staff will prolly find this and raise their prices now 😦

  2. Your mom! Burn!
